ACEO: Horse

I think this is the 7th ACEO of a horse
I've managed to complete in the last
week.....I'm having fun!

Another ACEO........guess I'm back to
creating these little guys again, at least
for now!

Little Black Shoes in Pencil

A pencil version of the the little black
shoes which I painted in oils a
while back...

ACEO: Horse

SOLD
I thought my ACEO stage was pretty much over
but got the urge again when I saw the cutest
little package of pre-cut drawing paper at
the art store yesterday! The package had
a miniature cover which was an exact
replica of the real drawing pad cover.
Of course I had to buy it!!

Blonde and Beautiful

I don't know if "blonde" is a word that
can describe a horse, but that's how
I think of this one!

Baby Long Legs

This little guy has a lot of leg to contend
with when he wants to lie down
and get comfortable!

Andre At Six

This is a portrait of my oldest grandchild, Andre,
when he was six years old. He's now a big lad
of fifteen and a half, and still has the gentle
personality evident here!

Cherry Duo

I always look twice when I see pictures of
cherries or find them in the store. I love
their shape and their rich color, and
it's fun to try and capture that even
with simple graphite...

At The Auction

Here is the finished drawing. Unfortunately,
it doesn't fit in my scanner, so both the top and the
bottom had to be cropped in this image!

Work In Progress

I don't usually post WIP's, but now that I'm planning
to spend more time working on detail in my pencil
drawings, I thought it might be fun to do that.
This one didn't fit in my scanner, so you don't
see that he actually has feet and will be standing on some
grass. I took this photo at a farm auction and plan
to call this one "At the Auction".

Morning Treat

Just a simple drawing of a mug with coffee.
I'm starting on a much more ambitious
drawing today and hope I'll be able to
post it before too long. I'm going for
the hyper-realism effect so I'll be needing
lots of patience!

Luke in Pencil

I'm striving for greater detail in my portraits; this is a first attempt at trying to obtain realistic
texture with the use of pencils alone and not
using any blending tools. Okay, so I cheated a
bit on this one, but I'll keep persevering.

Ostrich Head in Pencil

God must have enjoyed creating
these big birds with their adorable faces!
I have a neighbour who raises
ostriches on his farm.
