Riding Bareback No. 4

For those who are interested in such
things, I used the Strathmore Bristol
vellum, and not the smooth this time.
I find I liked using it much more than I
thought I would.....

At The Fence

How many young girls haven't stood longingly
at a fence gazing at a beautiful horse?

Rooster in Pencil

A proud rooster struts his stuff. He used
to belong to my son, Luke, and his family, but
I'm not sure what became of him. I fear he

Riding Bareback No. 3

Another horse/girl illustration.
I'm discovering that I love
drawing horses as much as I love
drawing people!

A second illustration of a girl on a
horse for my friend Martha who is writing
some awesome children's books!
Although granddaughter Nikki did
the posing, the girl in the drawing
ended up looking both shorter
and younger.

Nikki On A Horse

My granddaugher Nikki poses
on horseback for some
illustrations I'm creating for her
other grandmother.

Commissioned Work

This is a portrait of my dear friend Grace
and her husband Jerry. The drawing
was commissioned by their daughter
Marcee, in honour of their 35th
wedding anniversary.

Bright Red Tomato

This is a bright red tomato from my
daughter's garden. I drew it with
Colour Pencils on Colourfix Paper.
It measures 4.5" by 4.5".

Eggs Again

Guess I still haven't gotten drawing eggs
out of my system! These have been
created with colour pencil, but I had to
use some oil pastel on the yolks, since
I couldn't get the yellows I wanted with
the pencils.
